Good day my fellow steemians, I am happy on my successful verification on Achievement 1. Moving on with Achievement 2, I will talk on the basic security on steem.

HAVE YOU RETRIEVED ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?

I have retrieved all my keys on steemit and I have safeguarded them online and offline to avoid loosing them after I have taken time to know all thier roles in the security of my steemit account.

DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS?

Yes, I know the keys, thier functions and restrictions.

MASTER KEY: Master key is a key of great importance, with it anyone can gain access to our account which means we have to keep it as safe as possible. We can recover other keys but not the master key.

OWNER KEY: Owner key is also essential and important. It is used to recover other keys and also recover our account when lost.

POSTING KEY: With posting key, we can do a lot of activities on Steemit. With posting key we can log in to our account, we can also comment, vote, resteem, follow or mute any account.

MEMO KEY: It is used when transferring funds.

ACTIVE KEY: The active key is used to perform wallet related actions such as transferring funds, power up or down and converting Steem dollars to our wallet.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?

Having knows the importance of security keys, I decided to keep them online and offline.
Online in my Google drive and Offline with a hard copy of the keys.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER'S ACCOUNT ?

Yes, I know how to transfer my Steem token to another Steem user's account.

• First I have to login to my account, then click on Wallet.

• I will be directed to where I have steem drop down box, then I will click on it,a menu box will appear beside the steem.

• Then I will have to choose the transfer option.

• It will direct me to the next menu where I will have to put the Steem username and the amount.

• After inserting the details, I will click on NEXT then I will be directed to where I can confirm the transaction using my active key

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?

Yes, I know how to power up my Steem.

• First I login to my Steemit Acccount.

• Then, I click on "wallet" the Steem drop down box will display then I will click on "Power Up"

• After clicking on the power up button, I will be directed to where I will have to put the amount to power up.

• After inserting the amount, I click on the power up option

• After that, I get the interface of 'Confirm Transfer To Vesting' then I will click on "OK" where I will have to sign in using my active key.
