Achievement2: Basic steem security

Am very happy to be part of this wonderful family, have completed my achievement1 and I am done with achievement2 here is how I answer the following questions that way asked.

Question 1

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Answer
Yes, I save my keys in my diary and in my mailbox and I have to keep it safe because once I misplaced or allow anyone temper on it the may automatically hack my account making me lose.

Question 2

Do you know each of the keys functions and restrictions?

Answer

Yes....I will be following below.

Master key

The Master key is an essential key in the steemit platform because through it you can recover lost and stolen account making it very essential and should be protected

Posting Key

The posting is the first key you use in the platform you use it when you want to login steemit and when you want to login your steemwallet account, it is also very important and should be kept safe

Active key

We make use of this key in when we want to do transfer of steem and sbd and even when powering up and down.

Owner key

We make use of this key to change other keys and it should be stored privately and kept only by the user it is not shareable.

memo keys

It is used when you are transferring steem or sbd fr one account to another.

Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master password?

Master key is a very essential key and I plan of keeping it offline by writing it down in my diary and keep it different rooming the house and also save it my mailbox as draft

Do I know how to transfer my steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, I know. These are the steps:
Step 1- Go to wallet

Step 2
Click on the drop down arrow

Step 3
Click on transfer

Step 4
Insert the person username an amount

STEP 5
Enter the required key and steem will be transferred

QUESTION 5

Do I know how to power up my steem?

Answer
Yes, I know how to power up my steem. Using the following steps:
Step1- Go to wallet then steem

Step2-
click on dropdown and select powerup

Step 3
Enter the amount and key and steem will be converted to steem power

Step 4
Enter the private key

Once this is done the power up will take place immediately
