Achievement 2 @udsm Task: Basic Security on Steem

Hi friends,

Steemit is a very interesting platform. If you already use it, you know about it. But if you are new to steemit, I would like to tell you to be active and enjoy in steemit platform. OK, I'll focus on my topic. I posted my achievement 01 before about two weeks. And now I’m here to write my achievement 02. I think it will important for every newcomer to get an idea about security of steemit. If someone needs to get an idea about all achievements, I have recommended reading @cryptokannon's article

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

I saw that all the keys related to my account were mentioned in the PDF I received. I stored that PDF securely on my personal computer as well as my phone. As well as I copy them all correctly in one of my notebooks.

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

After using this platform and reading @cryptokannon's article I was able to get the best idea about the following keys. Let’s see

Privet Posting key

The posting key has been used for several functions in the steemit platform. Those are,
Daily logging
• Posting
• Editing
• Commenting
• Resteeming
• Voting
• Blogging
• days to day activity

Privet Active key

This key is a critical piece of information. I have to remind everyone. This key also one of the most important keys. If you think to save your money you have to protect this key is careful.
You can do the following things by using this key
• Power-up/down
• Convert SBD to Steam
• Transfer Steem or SBD
• Savings steem or SBD

Privet Owner key

If you want to change you’re all your keys including the owner key you can use your owner key. it is the function of the owner key. If someone stole your owner key, you should forget about your account

Privet Memo key

It is not a frequently used key. As I have heard it is used for encrypting and decrypt. But I haven’t used it yet

How do you plan to keep your master password?

To the best of my knowledge, when I lose my keys including the master key I can’t recover my account. If someone steals my keys including the master key I have lost my account. But I have a Master key I can recover my Account and change keys and continue. Therefore I stored my all keys including the master key in a different offline safe location. And also I made sure it was safe

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

You can get an idea from the pictures below

Here we need the Active key. To transfer the steam we have to another person, click on the arrow next to the steam amount and click transfer. Then enter the amount to be transferred and proceed. Then use the Active key to confirm the transfer. If you haven't steem, you have to convert your SBD to Steem. That also needs an Active key.

Power up also similar to transfer and it also needs an Active key. Click on the arrow next to the steam amount and click power up. Then enter the amount to be power up and proceed. Then use the Active key to power up. To the best of my knowledge, when we increase our steem power our voting power also increase.
