Achievement 2 @uduakabraham Task : "Basic Security on Steem"

The word "key" is one we use frequently and hear almost daily. When we think of keys, safety is the first thing that comes to mind. I fully comprehend the goals of Achievement assignment 2. With the use of several keys and an understanding of their functions, I can now secure my Steemit account.

Utilising my Master password, I was able to retrieve all of my keys in PDF format. They have been kept secure in two to three distinct locations, both online and offline.
Along with the most crucial "master password," there are four separate keys with distinct functions: the posting key, active key, memo key, and owner key.

This key, as its name suggests, is used to post content. In addition to logging into an account, using the posting key enables users to remark, edit, vote, esteem, follow, and mute other users as well as other Steemit users.

When transferring money, performing powerups, powerdowns, converting steem dollars, voting for witnesses, or editing profile information, an active key is absolutely necessary.

The memo key is also crucial. Memos can be encrypted and decrypted using it. This key is also employed when transferring steem between accounts. It's vital to notice that the hashtag or pound sign should always come before the memo key.

Because it may be used to modify all of the aforementioned keys as well as the owner key, the owner key is the most significant and potent key. Therefore, it must be safe and out of reach of any outsiders.

RESTRICTIONS CONCERNING KEYS:

There are also some restrictions while using keys, such as not sharing your keys with anybody to keep your account safe and less vulnerable to hackers.

SECURITY OF MY KEYS:

I use both conventional and improvised techniques to keep track of and secure my keys and master password. Others of the keys may have been written down in my private journal, some may be encrypted on my computer, and some may simply be a very solid part of my memory.

TRANSFER OF STEEM:

I am aware of how to move steem from one account to another.
Go to the profile and choose Wallet first.
The wallet is open and contains three different kinds of steem:

1. Steemit
2. Steem Power
3. Steem backed dollars

•Chose the first choice, "Steem." Because it is liquid, you can quickly activate it or transfer it to another Steemit account.

•Click on the drop-down option that is next to your Steem. After opening it, choose the "transfer" option to send funds to another Steemit account.

• You can input the I.D. of another Steemit user in the red mark box, and the amount you wish to transfer can be entered in the green mark box.

POWER UP STEEM:

Similarly, to power up your Steem, select the power up option from the drop-down menu of Steem. Enter the amount and click Power up.
Your Steem account will be activated immediately.
Therefore, the rate of steem power determines the influence of the network.

We can transfer and strengthen our steem in this way.
