What is Plagiarism?
It is an act in which we steal someone content and use this content for own purpose. Plagiarist claims the ownership of this content without the permission of original author. In order to protect the content of real author, few rules are defined. Copyright act protect the ownership of content that belongs to real author. Plagiarism is a crime. If we use someone content without the permission of real author then we claim the violence of copyright act.

Kinds of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is done in various ways. There are many types of plagiarism. Complete Plagiarism is type of plagiarism in which the whole content is fully copy and paste without the permission of real author. There is no change in content. Content is use as it is copied. Paraphrasing Plagiarism is a second type of Plagiarism in which victim copy paste the content and replace the synonyms world with real world. Victim also changes the shape of sentence. Mosaic Plagiarism is type of Plagiarism that is commonly practiced. In this type victim copied data from different sources and website.
Then he compiled the data and combines them to make single file. This single file represent mean of victim. Next is Self Plagiarism in which author re-use its own content. It is not so harmful kind of plagiarism. Next is Accidental Plagiarism in which content data is accidentally matched with someone data. In this plagiarism the willingness of author is not include. It is happened by chance. These are the type of plagiarism that we should avoid, because Plagiarism is crime.

How to avoid Plagiarism?
There are many methods to avoid plagiarism. We can avoid Plagiarism by adopting these methods. In this first method we will use proper citation. Citation mean give the reference of real author to a particular content. Second things is to use the Quotation mark. We write the copied data in between the quotation marks.
Next things that is use of greater than sign >. By using this sign at the starting of paragraph. This sign implies that this data is copied from other source. This method is used in steemit platform.

How to Cite the Paragraph and give the source

For this purpose I copied some data from internet about Plagiarism. Then I write in between the Quotation Marks. As you can see below.

“According to U.S. law, the answer is yes. The expression of original ideas is considered intellectual property and is protected by copyright laws, just like original inventions. Almost all forms of expression fall under copyright protection as long as they are recorded in some way such as a book or a computer file.” source

How to do Citation and sourcing?

First of all the Copy content and paste between the Quotation marks “ ”. Next method is to write the following tag to give the source of content.

[source](link of page where you copied the text)

In this way we can apply citation and source the content.
For image sourcing we can apply the same method. In this method we paste the link of photo. As you can see the below

In this way we can avoid plagiarism by doing the proper referencing and citation.
