Hello Friends, for the fulfillment of the Achievement 3 I am going to explain what plagiarism is and how it is involved in what are the content protocols of the platform, a topic that everyone should know and take into account when posting.
What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the taking of other people's ideas or works and using them as their own, without their consent or without the due appointment of the author.
It is considered all types of content from: texts, images, videos, analysis, data and even ideas as such, if it is from an author you have to know how to quote that person.
plagiarism is:
Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition. Plagiarism may be intentional or reckless, or unintentional. Under the regulations for examinations, intentional or reckless plagiarism is a disciplinary offence. source
What information can we use?
There are many pages and people who create free content, which we can use without affecting the copyright of the author since he leaves the content as free use.
And in reality all the content in general we can as long as we know how to give recognition to the person who created it, or making evolution to that knowledge, transforming it and making it a different but new one.
Types of Plagiarism
There are different ways to comment on plagiarism, among them the most outstanding are:
Copied and pasted: In this case the plageator copies verbatim the work of another author and passes it off as his own.
Paraphrasing: It can be considered as plagiarism when the plagiarist only changes words cables but the idea remains the same, if the paraphrasing does not evolve or improves the idea is considered as plagiarism.
Mosaic: It is when the plageator uses the parts of different authors to form a single idea, but in itself all the work and his ideas belong to other people.
How to avoid plagiarism
To avoid plagiarism we simply have to give the proper use to the external information we use, doing it as follows:
You leave the link of where the information is, using the edition [ name of the link ] ( link ) or leaving the bibliography if it is a physical document.
Using the correct one cited, either by adding "" or by using the > edition to demarcate that the text is cited, always leaving the author or was at the end of it.
Conclusions
Solecitos whenever they use some type of information from some other author always leave the link where they got the information or the appointment with the appropriate appointment since in the Stemmit platform it is punishable to commit Plagiarism, since it is always sought that each post is unique, original and contributes knowledge to the platform so that we help grow the platform and we ourselves evolve as creators of original content and innovative, that we can solve problems and improve/facilitate other processes.
