About Nasarawa State:
Nasarawa State, a home of solid minerals, was formed out of the plateau state. Home of peace and tourism. On the first of October 1996, under the regime of General Sani Abacha, the capital of Nasarawa State became Lafia.
The governor of Nasarawa state is Engineer Abdullahi Audu Sule born 26 December 1959. He is an engineer and at the same time a well-known businessman. He was elected into office in the 2019 Governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Nasarawa is located in north-central Nigeria, Nasarawa State covers 27,117 square kilometers. Nasarawa State shares boundaries with Kaduna State, Benue State, the Plateau State, Kogi State, and the federal capital territory.
Nasarawa State has different ethnic groups, each with its own distinct dialect, Hausa, which is more common among the people.
The main occupation in Nasarawa state is farming, which provides food as well as income. Some crops produced in Nasarawa state are cassava, yam, rice, Guinea corn, beans, soya beans, beniseed, asha, millet, and melon.

Lafia is the capital of Nasarawa State. The state has mineral deposits like coal, an energy source, and columbite, a major input in the production of steel and aquamarine used to produce jewelry.
Nasarawa State is a place with tourist attractions, arrays of hills and rocks that speck the state topography.
On these natural towers, tourists are offered a beautiful demonstration of this wonderful Nasarawa state.

- Mada Hills and Rukubi Hills at Akwanga
- Captain Maloney Hill at Keffi
- Mail: Rumba rock, Doma
- Ava and Eggon Hills at Nasarawa
Some tourist places in Nasarawa state are:
- Dyeing pits and calabash carving in Lafia
- Farin Ruwa waterfalls
- Akira salt village
- Akiri's warm springs
- Ara rocks
- Doma Dam
- The late Captain Maloney Tomb
- Umaisha Bank Resort
- Eggon hills and caves
Lafia, the state capital, has an enviable climate with a fascinating Rocky Mountain environment.
