WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

PLAGIARISM

This is when someone else's work or ideas are taking as your own,with or without the person's consent,by incorporating it into your own work without full acknowledgement.

1:DIRECT PLAGIARISM

Direct plagiarism:
This is a word for word transcription of a section of someone else's work without regarding and without applying quotation mark.

2:SELF PLAGIARISM

Self plagiarism:
This occurs when someone submit his or her own previous work,or mixes part of previous works, without taking permission from all the people involved or professors.example self plagiarism also applies to submitting the same piece of work for assignment in different classes without permission from both professors.

3: MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

Mosaic plagiarism:
This occurs when someone borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks.or find synonyms for the writer or author's language while keeping to the same general structure, and meaning of the original.sometimes called "patch writing", "this Kind of paraphrasing, whether international or not ",is academically dishonest and punishable offence.

4:ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

Accidental plagiarism:
This occurs when a person neglect to cite their source,or misquotes their sources,or unintentionally paraphrase a source by using similar words, groups of words,and without sentence structure attribution.
Cases of accidental plagiarism is taken a seriously as any other plagiarism and subject to the same range of consequences as other types of plagiarism.
