Achievement 2 @yourrealdaddy Task : Basic Security on Steem

Good day to each and everyone of us i trust and believe we’re all fine,Dear steemians on this post I’ll be writing on basic security on steemit(achievement 2@yourrealdaddy)with my answers to the questions below in which I think it will be of benefit to some users as well.

Question 1:Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit ?

Yes I’ve retrieved all of my keys and they are saved where I can gain easy access to.For users with iOS devices your keys are best saved in your notes just name each and every key for easy access
And for Android users the option to download in form of PDF is already there after login page,Thanks to steemit for that wonderful work and idea

Question 2:Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes I do know the key,their functions as well as the functions they serve.I’ll be stating the functions and details of the keys

1. Tron key is used to gain access and to command any transaction that deals with the Tron Wallet in the wallet account.

2. Posting key is used for creating articles or comments and also serves the purpose of making upvote on another user’s post and also resteeming actions. It must be noted that posting keys cannot be used for authorization of token transfer.

3. Active key is used for the authorization of token transfer and also all other activities related or in line to the steemit wallet. Active key is also use to power up and power down steem power and at the same time it can be used for voting of witnesses.

4. Owner key,the owner key is used primarily to recover account when other passwords are being lost and can be also used to reset all other keys.

5. Memo key is used to encrypt messages and posts and it is also used for decryption of the message.

Question 3:How do you plan to keep your master password?

Master password can be seen as the heartbeat or pillar of all the keys.so knowing this position it holds I stored it offline inside one of the journals I used in writing my project(university days).I also keep a copy of it in my flash drive just to be at the safer side.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes I do know how to transfer steem from one account to another,All needed to do is just to visit the steemit wallet site,then you login with your active key then you click on steem,then transfer,you input the username of the account and the amount of steem you are about to transact.That’s all about that

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes I do.
And to power up steem. You visit the steem wallet site and click on steem just as if you want to transfer token,then you see power up option.You input the unit or amount of steem you want to power up then sanction or authorize the transaction.
