"Assalamu Alaikum"
Dear Steamian, how are you all?
I hope you are all well, I am well too. I am @zahidhasan6093 from Bangladesh.
After completing achievement 2 I was asked to complete achievement 3 as well. Steemit is a community where we can share our thoughts and ideas.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of copying someone else's work and passing it off as your own.
When students submit a paper for an assignment or an article to be published in a journal, they have to write their own words and include their own thoughts. Using words from other sources without citing them is plagiarism. When somebody does this, they are breaking the rules and not giving credit where credit is due.
The plagiarism checker detects when the same text appears on different parts of the web, even if these texts are in some way modified.
Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else's ideas, words, images, or other intellectual property as one's own without giving credit. It is generally considered academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics. The word plagiarism comes from the Latin plagiarius, meaning "kidnapper" or "robber."
Plagiarism is the use of others' work without giving credit to the original author. It comes in many forms from paraphrasing to copying and pasting. There are many tools that allow educators and researchers to find plagiarism in their papers and essays, which can be found online.
The first step in avoiding plagiarism is to cite your sources properly - whether they are words, images or other media. A well-cited essay will make it easier for an instructor or researcher to determine how much you have borrowed verbatim (word-for-word without quotation marks), versus paraphrased (written in your own words).
