My 5th Anniversary on STEEMIT & Cryptocurrency

Greetings Awesome People Over There, This is SHOHANA From #Bangladesh

November 13, 2017 is the day when I made one of the best decision of my life and that was signing up on steemit. It seems just few days ago I joined but today I've completed my 5 years with this platform and crypto. People says, No one can forget their first love, steem is the first crypto currency I met five years ago and it still with me so celebrating anniversary is a must.

My friends who knows me personally, they knows how boring type person I'm. I don't celebrate birthdays, and hardly attend any kind of get together as I'm a kind of introvert so my all celebration is virtual. Physically I'm not celebrating this special day but virtually I'm sharing this day with you awesome people with the hope that you people will get some motivation from me.

See, belongs to a platform for five years means a lot, though its virtual still steemit is a kind of my second home where I spend my maximum time. My day begins with it and also end with blockchain based platform. Last five years I've learned a lots of things and steemit can be compared with a selfless friend or book which knows only giving and I love spending only my time with it, because it worth my time.

Last five years I've seen many up and downs in crypto even I had 2-3 years of break up with steemit and crypto currency. I've regret on that because I've missed many more things that I could achieve. Still happy with whatever I have today like 17k steem power in my steemit wallet and become a curator (as a weekly curator) on steemit. Steemit gave me a lot and if they take something from me that is my time and its worth too.

The journey begins when I was a college student. One of my virtual foreigner friend from Philippine invite me to join steemit and at the beginning it was hard for me to understand cryptocurrency and I did folly like I was scammed and lost some steem. But its fine as I learned some lesson from my mistakes.

Today there are many sweet memories with steemit reminding by me. My first big upvote from whale curators. I met helpful and generous curators in this platform and I'm also growing up as curator day by day. Its hard to be a whale curator but people who can invest on steem can be one. I'm a holder not yet a investor. I'm investing my time by holding #club100 and powering up my whole earnings with the dream to be an ORCA (50K SP Achiever) and whale maybe in life in future but the dreams are bigger than my ability. There is no restriction to dream big right?

SteemWorld remind me the date as our steemit activities of all time recorded there. Thanks to @steemchiller for creating this helpful tool for us. I've marked this day last week and wanted to share this blog as a remembrance. Next goal is only one and that is stick with this platform till the end. In this anniversary celebration blog I will talk about what steemit means to me. You can experience the same, if you only spend a year with it regularly and share quality blogs that deserves appreciation.

See, why you experience the same I've experienced in five year? Let me explain the facts behind this. Steemit started it's journey in 2016 and it took time to establish a user friendly site, many investors came and invested on it. The platform become well arranged with perfect plans and initiatives by steemit team (@steemblog). When I joined there was none to guide me, no guideline blogs or vlogs available but now its available for new comers which explain all about steemit.

When I came back after 2-3 years of break there was very few people who takes time to guide but now steemit team hired Country Representatives for each country and they are very helpful and great greeters to newcomers. You can knock them to learn whatever about this platform. So when I struggle to learn about the platform and took a lots of time to understand things without having any helpful guideline there you can understand steemit in few days even possible understanding it in few hours by reading several helpful blogs here pinned in several communities.

Honestly I'm a slow learner and activist like a turtle so I don't dare to compare myself with others. Things that I learn in five years, you can learn in five months even less than that. I also write blogs slow because I try not to misspell words, though my Grammar is poor but I'm very sincere about spelling and expressions. I try my best to produce quality blogs in a regular basis. My aim already shared that may takes another five years or less, I'm ready to wait for something good.

Steemit given me a lot. I have my personal laptop, DSLR and other gadgets that I bought with the earning from online and it was my one kind of investment. The day I decide to be regular on steemit (November 2020) was my best decision ever, I left my full time job, face the pandemic without any financial crisis and steemit helped me a lot. Steemit plays the role of a best friend when I was need one. Indeed this platform is a blessing that given me by Almighty Allah. Almighty remind me about this platform when I decide to be a full time freelancer and will work from home.

In jobs you will be treated like a servant but blockchain based crypto earning blogging platform will treat you like a prince or princess if you have quality. Steemit treated me like a princess as I feel safe here and it ensure my financial freedom too. I also consider this platform as my kingdom where I'm free to explore my thoughts and feelings. Its my virtual home, my diary, my space to live! I feel like I'm on safe hand, what else I can want or expect?

Anyways, Thank you so much STEEMIT for being a part of my life. Keep spreading love to me as you always did. I wish you live longer than mine. You belongs to my emotions and feelings too and it will never die. I'm a kind of thankful person and will be thankful to you for lifetime. Happy Steemit & Crypto Anniversary to me!
