Hello Steemians,

Today I am gonna share one of my ideas on how we can use cryptocurrencies as a medium of payment in our businesses. I already answered some of the questions related to my crypto experience in my previous post. Therefore, I do not want to do duplicate writing, so we go straight to our today's topic.

Challenge 1: My favourite Cryptocurrency, how can we get businesses to accept it as payment?

As I said in my previous post that Steem in my favourite Cryptocurrency. So my main concentration is on "how we can use Steem as payment in Businesses?" I deal only with Steem and SBD, so I would love to shed light on developing more options in Steem itself.

After my search on Coinpayment.net, I came to another option where we can use Cryptocurrencies for payment on several businesses. So, my today's topic is about CoinGate.com. Are you familiar with this name? If not, then you're in right place to get brief knowledge know about this website.

As of now, Steem is not supported on the CoinGate website. But it would be great if we also get the option of Steam in their payment gateway in the future.

Supported Countries on CoinGate

CoinGate services are available in most parts of the world, but the company does not provide merchant services in the U.S. CoinGate supports more than 100 countries, to check, go to "Supported Countries" section or Click Here

All of the above brief information aimed at understanding more about the supported currencies and supported countries on CoinGate.

Now I directly came to our main topic of discussion "how can we get businesses to accept cryptocurrencies as payment?". So let's get deep into the topic to understand how CoinGate can help in this.

CoinGate's Products

The company brings cryptocurrencies closer to mass adoption by offering several methods to set up cryptocurrency payments for any website or physical store listed on the site. To know, what they provide just click on the "Products".

So that's all from my side on this week's challenge. CoinGate seems to be a very good alternative to using crypto as a form of payment as it allows for large scale adoption by offering multiple methods for setting up cryptocurrency payments for many websites.

I'd love if Steam integrated with CoinGate to offer more as payment options.

From a business point of view, CoinGate is a good source to expand your business and accept crypto payments. This will give a big boost to your business as well as the crypto market.

Thank you,

Sort Order:

As I said CoinGate supports over 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Litecoin.

It supports only 10 crypto coins natively, other coins that are on the list will get converted into the native coin through changelly, so any coin beyond the native coins will incur additional exchange fees.

As compared to Coinpayments the merchant fee is also higher, 1%. In case of Coinpayments it is only 0.5%.

However, the process, registration, verification is quite fast in Coingate. They have a wider reach in terms of supporting countries as well.

Thank you.

Oh I didn't know this.
I created my account on CoinGate to check but didn't noticed this. Thank you for the information.

Yes I'm aware of it, but this article was especially dedicated to CoinGate so I didn't made any comparison chart here.

Also, this is the exact reason that I posted about coinpayment first.

It's like best option vs second best option. As per my understanding only, there might be many others good options too.
