Hello Steemitans! How are you today? Vrsar is one of my favorite towns. It is located 20 kilometers from Porec and Rovinj. I was first here back in 2006. with my friend @recondites. Since then it has remained in good memory and I visit it traditionally at least once a year. Year after year, I get more and more sympathetic. It is my desire to one day fulfill my wish and buy a small property in this amazing city. And now, enjoy the post!
Vrsar, or in Italian Orsera, is a small coastal town on the Istrian peninsula. The city's architecture itself is a typical example of a Mediterranean and fishing town. In addition to tourism, fishing and viticulture were developed in Vrsar.
To the south of the town is the most famous nudist camp Koversada, where the famous Kazanova also stayed. There are also 18 smaller wild islands in front of Vrsar.
Beautiful view of the harbor from the upper town. The location of the city is amazing, many tourist destinations are located in or near the city. The city is full of history and has retained its old appearance.
In the early Middle Ages, Vrsar was a fortified town, estate and summer residence of Poreč bishops, who held it from 983 to 1772. Vrsar is located on a slope of hills and at the top is a castle.
View of a couple of islands that further embellish the city. I will always return to this beautiful town!
This was a brief overview of a small town in the Istrian peninsula. I suggest all lovers of small, romantic cities to visit this small town.
