Beekeeper Beginner - A Few Thoughts - Part 14 - Self discipline

Greetings, friends!

Thinking about beekeeping, I came to the conclusion that, every beekeeper, first of all, must cultivate self-discipline in himself.

The biggest problems that the beekeeper can comprehend are mainly related to its absence. But, often, problems arise due to a lack of time, or the emergence of other urgent matters.

The peaceful life of the bee family, in many respects, depends on how the beekeeper-foreman does his job.

The beekeeper should provide the front of work.

If the bees run out of free cells in the combs, they think that their queen does poorly with her duties, lay her eggs, and a swarm state in the hive arises.

This is a kind of revolution, when, the separatists decide to change the queen, and create a uterine cell, where the new queen will mature.

The beekeeper should add to the hive a new framework with wax, as providing construction with building materials.

I, having assumed the responsibility of supplying materials to my construction site, had to ensure uninterrupted operation.

The absence of any materials leads to downtime, and, as a result, to a conflict situation with builders.

When we selected a plot of land, we were guided by the presence, nearby, of melliferous plants, and by reserve routes for the delivery of building materials, in case of emergency.

Not all highways allow you to deliver heavy loads to the site, there are weight restrictions on one axis of vehicles.

The fact that four roads from the city lead to my site helped me a lot.

As for self-discipline, wake up early, go to bed late, find materials and deliver from the construction site, this is what has been pursuing me for three years.

But, this, pleasant chores.

High-speed highway, allowed me to overcome 15 kilometers in 15 minutes and get to the construction site. That was a big plus.

This track ran along the top of the hills. Moving along such a road, it was fast and beautiful, because, I could observe the surrounding landscape.

Now, I laugh, I write a post about self-discipline, and I see in this photo that, for a motorist who moves ahead of me, she, self-discipline, is completely absent.

Just now, I saw that my camera recorded a malicious violation of the rules of the road, crossing a double, solid line, while overtaking vehicles in front, and leaving for the oncoming lane.

Another road that ran along the lowland. It was through it that I delivered concrete mixers, the weight of which exceeded 30 tons.

This road is in poor condition, but it is surrounded by magnificent landscapes of flood meadows. My wife and children always asked me to go along this road when they were with me, next to me.

Exceptionally, self-discipline forced me to adhere to the basic norms of construction.

As a result, the multilayer foundation was ready.

We poured concrete formwork, which you saw yesterday, in my publication.

The next step is waterproofing the foundation, but more about that tomorrow.

For a short period of time, I needed to make a comparative description of various waterproofing materials and choose the best option.

But, this is not enough, you need to buy all the necessary materials and deliver them to the construction site.

When we bought the land, we did not dream of becoming agrarians and acquiring a garden, but we decided that such an experience would not hurt us and planted potatoes in that part of the site, which is far from construction work.

The presence of water helped us in watering. You see a water tower.

Earlier, I promised to show how the water metering unit looks at our site.

We organized it in a concrete ring with a diameter of one meter.

Any kind of work on a land plot was a new experience for us, which, demanded of us, was one thing - self-discipline.

This land was an unplowed virgin soil. But, gradually, she began to transform.
