I have been a manual voter since joining steem block chain. I know how long it takes me to find things of interest to me to vote on. I really don't care what other people find of interest to vote on, sometimes a lot of people like the same things I do, sometimes not. Sometimes it is vote trails that do the voting, and is based on past performance of the individual, (blind voting), I do that for some of the content. There are people's post I enjoy, but am not able to actually read or look at everything, I have a tendency to get wrapped up in a topic day like yesterday and today, where I did some commenting, and a lot of reading and listening.
I will be a pretty happy camper soon when the value of my vote can exceed a dust vote level at 33% vote power, then I can start back on comment voting. Content wise, I have a lot to vote on, if my feed is a bit thin then I use my wife's, if hers is thin on content, then I follow the feed of some of the people I follow. I have a long way to go before people start thinking I am over voting/rewarding any particular individual.
The communities have made it a bit easier also to find content to vote on. I have been trying to use some of the various communities when I can remember, I do think they will be way to vote in the future, not so much on my feed but on the post in the community rooms. Now all I need to do is transition fully over to steempeak for my steem block chain access point.
I don't upvote comments very often, but I try to make all my votes worth a couple cents.
If would be neat if my entire upvote could get a coffee or a beer. Steem should have to rise 10x ~ 20x for that.

Yes a real cup of coffee or glass of beer value would be great. I just hope the rise is or can remain a slow steady rise and not a lot of knee jerk ups and downs, my legs are restless enough all by themselves. ;-}

I automated some when the retaliatory flags started hitting some people and now I also trail the Engage token voter. Pretty much until then, it was 60-odd thousand manual votes.
You will be surprised :D
It is going to be interesting to see how the development of Steemit moves with the ownership change. Good to keep an eye on.

I have enjoyed and like the steemit front end, it is not over blown, but I do need to try and get used to something else I think. Steempeak handles communities a bit better than steemit so I am getting some practice with it through that road.
I know one day I may need to auto vote, or vote trail someone, but for now it is not needed. I sort of do auto vote on a couple of accounts, but like I said they are people or groups whose content I enjoy when I can, stories, poetry, and some of the photo people, non timely post that can be viewed when ever.

Steempeak has more bells and whistles, but to many can make for an annoying experience, which is where I fear steemit may go since it is going to be a Tron thing. Chinese and a lot of other Asian groups love their flashy lights, glitter and a lot of things going on all at the same time, me I prefer slow calm mellow interface, which is why I have preferred steemit for so long, but I do fear it may change to much front end access wise.

No!!! I looked at your blog, it is nothing but a lot of copy and paste advertisement. So No!!!! I will not vote on your articcle, you can spell perfectly in your copy and pasted post but you do not know how to type please or article or format a plea in semi decent English, so your post are not "Your Articles" they are someone else's work not yours.
You need to be very careful who's post you spam asking for votes, because you may get down voted as a spammer and a plagiarizer. I'm putting this off to you being new on the steem block chain, you really do need to learn and learn fast what is acceptable and what is not.
