After many years here I am traveling again by train. I cannot say that I am a fan of the train and I really dislike the train journey. Not because of the train.
Due to the passengers and the poor condition of the infrastructure as well as the comfort of the wagons.
To explain what I said. Although I do not like to admit this, there are extremely many inhabitants of my country, Romania, who have great educational problems. Unfortunately, when traveling jointly, by train or other means, this lack of education is seen and felt most.
I would like to ignore it, pretend I don't see it, but I can't. Each train trip caused me inconvenience, smaller or larger.
I recently made a train journey, 400 kilometers away and over six hours spent together with several hundred travelers.
I understand the train in this way:
An iron line that has two stations at the end and connects two cities.
In my case it is so ... one end of departure in Bucharest and the other end in Iasi. Two big cities in Romania. The first is the city in which I live and is the capital of the country and the second is the former capital of Romania and it is a city that I really like and where I lived for almost a year.
Leaving Bucharest!
Before leaving, I went through some emblematic places in the city that I like. I like to walk.
Victory Square!
In this place is the building of the Government of Romania and is the favorite place where we protest against politicians, parties and the government.
Then the Victory Path. It is my favorite boulevard because it preserves many of the old buildings of the city, built over a hundred years ago.
From this place, you can easily and quickly reach the North Station, the most important railway station in the city.
From here the adventure begins, the train journey begins. Too many pictures I did not take, travelers are not too excited to be photographed.
As with any train journey most of the time we look out the window. The landscape is seen from the train's speed.
Six hours passed by, looking out the window. There was no conversation with the other travelers, each with his phone. I remember older times when making friends during the trip. Now the phone is our best friend. The trip ended and I arrived at Iasi train station. A much smaller but even more beautiful station.
In this way you can get from Bucharest to Iasi. I don't recommend. It can be reached by bus as well.
Finally, it is important that I arrive at the destination. I was eager to get to the hotel and then walk around my favorite places. I chose the Hotel Moldova again because it is very close to the Palace of Culture, the Palace Mall and other sights to visit. I got a room on the fifth floor of the hotel, very good to admire that wonderful place.
It is mandatory to go down and take a tour. I must definitely revisit my favorite places, in a very quick walk. In the coming days, I will take them one by one.
Iasi is one of the most interesting cities in Romania. I visit him every year. I spend a few days there very pleasant and different from the usual ones at home. I recommend to those who ever come to Romania to pass Iasi on the list of places to visit.
Unfortunately, now is not much travel because of this misfortune with the pandemic that scares us all. I take this opportunity to remember that we must protect ourselves if we want our lives to return to old habits.
Only a flower can make us forget about the situation we are in, #alwaysaflower and @dswigle who discovered this.
