The Rise of Gaming Bars in Toronto

Pinball machines, video slots, darts, and billiards have been a mainstay in bars forever. The gaming bars I am talking about are a different breed. Freeplay in Toronto is a prime example, it just opened and has more games than seats. There are sports bars, dive bars, pick-up bars, lounges, etc., and now there are gaming bars. These places are perfect to go to and play games that you normally wouldn't have at home.

Playboy Pinball is a prime example, most of us either don't have space for this or the cost makes it more practical to rent than buy. A much larger gaming bar in Toronto is called the Rec Room This is a massive venue of over 40000 square feet including virtual reality gaming experiences and hundreds of multiplayer, cutting edge arcade games. It's a great place for corporate parties, dates, hanging out with friends and they have large-screen TVs so you won't miss the game.

Many of the games come with points or rewards for playing, these are not blockchain tokens, but tokens you can exchange for various prizes. Its sort of like a digital amusement park -some of the games are much more fun than others which are just for collecting tickets. The place can get a little crowded but is perfect for both kids and adults, at some point in the evening it is only for the 19+ crowd.

All these bars have plenty of good beers on draft, cocktail drinks and more. The Rec Room believe it or not has some of the best pizza in Toronto. It's wood-fired and was so good in a city with no shortage of pizza options that I was pleasantly shocked. They also have full menu options but after trying the pizza, my mind is set.

There are many more of these places in the city each offering their own unique games, experiences, and crowds. We don't even own a consul as there are enough places to go and play games when the desire hits.
