Flowers In Your Hand

Less is more

with every glimpse of you

You make me crave for more

Flowers in your hands

Butterfly in your eyes

Pour your rays of light on me

Cover me in the shade of your love

Shelter my heart

under your blue sky

Into your blue

Let me drown in the ocean of your eyes

norture me like your favourite flower

Fragile & Delicately

As I lay my eyes on your shoulder

Give me closure to see your love

eclipse on me

Commentary

Hello, there again I'm Lanre Sonde. This is another mellexy special and as I write, I'm in the consideration of putting this piece in my present ongoing book Mellexy - Colours of You. My wish is for readers to remember my work and craft.
This mellexy piece offers thoughts of vulnerability in love in a hopeless romantics.

Mellexy is like a song written to be read in the eyes of the reader with an alluring tune in their subconscious.
This poem was inspired by the image below. Everything about the photo calls out love, beauty and a whole world of feelings mixed into one like a fine blend of mix fruit juice.

Progressive Theme

The poem begins with a phrase that eclipses the thought of the writer but exposes what he actually wants - more.

With a free write structure, the poem ascends to be soft and appealing with its pictorial imagery of wants in the eyes of a lover for - more.

Thoughts

Flowers in your hands resonates thoughts of words I wish to say to my love. The thoughts of expressing myself as a flower to be protected and sheltered with the hopes that my petals bring colours and beautiful scents to her world. As a hopeful romantic I know these would be actualised in a future not so far away. However, putting my feelings in writing is therapeutic for my soul basking in the light of my thoughts.

As always, I'm interested to know what you think. Poetry appeals to readers in different ways as it yields and conceives different meanings to people from their various places of thoughts.
