The traditional Bioscope and puppets show of Bangladesh

Today my post is related to the traditional Bioscope and puppets show. These two traditional events are almost lost from Bangladesh. Here is one picture of Bioscope.

I have grown up by seeing them from my childhood. Specially in village fair these two events were very much common. Whenever I went to the fair I didn’t miss those. Sharing one picture of puppet show.

My kids are used to seeing different cartoon. They never see the puppet or Bioscope show live. Today I had an opportunity to introduce these two events to my kids.

Today there was a gathering of 1995 S.S.C batch. This was a whole day long programme. As I am from 1995 batch, I joined this programme with my family. The organisers arranged all the fun events for the kids. There was a kids zone. Among all the fun, puppet and Bioscope show were there. Sharing some more puppet show pictures from there.

My kids enjoyed very much after seeing the events live. As these events were new to them, they were very much excited.

Sharing some pictures of Bioscope show. Bioscope is a small box. And there are small holes around this box. You can see different moving pictures inside the box through these holes. Specially, they try to show different learning things to the kids.

Also there was arrangement of monkey show.

It was a trained monkey. The monkey was following his master’s instruction.

In the below picture the monkey was acting like a freedom fighter. The freedom fight is a matter of proud to us which took place in the year of 1971 against Pakistan. We got the victory in the month of December 16th.

In the aggression of satellites all our traditions are fading day by day. The traditions are root. We should not forget it. We also should introduce it with our kids.
