Well I had tons of material of course and settled primarily on a book done but a professor who moved to South America and spent at least 10 years in exhaustive research to find the truth...because there were so many rumors about their ending not actually happening the way people thought.
The Paul Newman/Robert Redford movie was surprisingly accurate although they didn't have the best research at the time the film was made.

That was a good movie and pretty much where my knowledge of the whole thing comes from. A good effort you went to by the sounds of it. I think it's good to do stuff like that. I have dome historical things like that in the past but try to keep them down to only three of four so people don't lose interest.

I understand sir galenkp. I have never gotten traction from my history posts but I have fans on each of the very long series that I've done who begged me not to stop! lol. Even though they knew the stories of the people were coming to an end they didn't want them to stop.
Several said they would wait until they went to bed every night to read my posts about the characters I was writing about.
That is very satisfying but on the other hand, most people just stop in occasionally and don't have the time to follow a long series so when they do stop by they don't know what's going on with the story so it doesn't work very well here.

Well, we do this more for ourselves than others so it works. I never got much engagement on mine either...Seems people want to talk about steem and steemmonsters more than anything else. It is what it is.
