I am pretty sure that everybody is already familiar with the currents events taking place at our community. Long story short Justine Sun decided to replace our democratic system with a monarchy and he replaced the top 20 Witnesses (our representatives) with himself. Its not a matter if JS is good or evil, an investor or a criminal, if we like him or just want to fuck him, its the action itself that we have to stand against and with our action restore balance to the system.
What i like most in Steem is this democratic system, we use our votes to elect our representatives (witnesses) and through them have our voice and opinion heard. We check their work and contribution to the community, discuss with them any problems, unvote them if we think that their not doing a good job. This democracy works because they are real people and not just a user operating through 20 bot accounts.
If you still believe in democracy go now and cast your votes to the real people and bring them to the top30 so that real people and pluralism dictates what will happen to our community. We see democracy failing in our countries and all over the world and we fight against it.Lets fight here also, use Steemworld or Keychain and cast your votes, its easy you just have to choose from those you see that have a reputation higher of 25 and an avatar.

You are Greek and it's normal to love democracy!
We thank Greece for this gift to humanity ( although we don't have to trust the Greeks when they make gifts, do we? )

Democracy is one user / one vote. Not stake weighted voting. Someone like freedom has more power than a hundred thousand minnows. This is not democracy it is based on who is willing to to buy the most steem power.

You go a point in this and i agree, but on the other hand whose opinion/vote you give more credit:
Both systems can be abusive but i choose the stake based one because i see in my country and other countries what is happening with the one person/one vote system.

Another option though is a user who's been here 3 years, but started with nothing but the free allocated 15sp, so has only worked his way up to maybe 100SP in the intervening time, at about .10 per post and a post per day. (Much more common) He knows the platform, the witnesses, the needs of the community, but his voting power is minute.
Or the rich person who heard he could make a lot of money pumping out shitposts or running a bot, so bought lots of STEEM which, BONUS!, he can also use to vote on his own posts and swap upvotes from other rich users in exchange for witness votes. (What I know was the case with at least one Steemian in the past couple years.)
All 4 scenarios sometimes play out, so you could argue either in favor of total democracy (equal weight) vs oligopoly (more control to those with more resources).

I like the idea of one person one vote, but it can become an abusive system also. You see in our countries, we have the same system but still the wrong people end up in governments..

I live in a country where there is no democracy. Steem / Steemit is (was) a positive space to learn, create and share. Now everything is uncertainty.
You're right that we must stop unfair actions ... I've hope to find the balance

Your country is a great example of what can happen if democracy is replaced by a monarch..

Sun created a bunch of dummy accounts to vote with the STINC STEEM for 20 witness accounts he runs on a single server. If you voted before he did that, you are still voting for real people, not Justin's sock puppets. If you voted after that for any witness who doesn't have an avatar (non of Justin's have one) then yes, you voted for what is as non-human as a bot.

No the witnesses you vote are all human, but some are replaced in rank by Justin Sun's bots. Check your votes @arrr and adjust them😊
