One of the older handcut artworks created by using my stained glass technique. It is based on a photograph of a homeless old man and i used various different prints to build it. I wanted to create a strong antithesis and for the cloths i used a white fabric print and colourful motif one as combination. The head and hands are made from a landscape print in sepia colours and last but not least the golden leaf print for the background.
I like the work i did with the hands, its a really difficult part and rarely i managed to make them well proportioned and fine. Actually most of the times back then i avoided them because its one had the same amount of work as the face, it really took me weeks to finish an artwork, lol. I also like how trippy came out the beer can and the cigarette smoke.
es genial, me encanta.

That homeless man looks like a rich man maybe because of the choice of your golden background and his clothes. I like the hair, the whole impression for me is like someone in a hot day very thirsty enjoying his drink :)
