They say that hacking into a crypto wallet is virtually impossible. They say the only way is to gain access to any users’ private keys. Of course, there are many phishing attempts online that are designed to do just that. An unsuspecting user clicks on a familiar link leading to a phony website resulting in said users private key being exposed. But I'm here to tell you of a story that does not involve any sort of phishing attempt but only the mere knowledge that crypto exists. I'm here to tell you a story of one woman's daring attempt to fill her wallets with as much coins as possible.

The year is 2018 July to be exact. These days most crypto enthusiasts are still very underground. Some could say that a large majority of these crypto lovers are geeky nerds is dark dank basements. At least that is what Victoria believed. Sometimes what people believe make them do some crazy things.

Victoria was a 26-year-old secretary who lived In New York city. Standing at five foot one green eyes and long dark black hair. She was a looker. She was in a long-term relationship with a guy named Chris. Their relationship was rocky, and they were currently on their 15th break. I guess not all high school sweethearts have the luck of longevity. The one good thing is no children were born as a result of their lovemaking.

Victoria lived in a small one-bedroom studio apartment in Brooklyn. She lived in Bushwick or at least that's what it used to be called before big money hit the neighborhood. She loved her home and the neighborhood very much. Many of her friends often wondered why she still paid the enormous amount to live in a crappy apartment. Her boyfriend Chris did it really do much of anything which is why they constantly we're separating. All he ever did was smoke weed and surf crypto faucet websites. He would constantly tell her about cryptocurrencies saying it was the next best thing. She never paid much to anything that he rambled about but soon that would change very much.

Since their breakup Victoria has been on several dates but none of them lead to anything more. Maybe she just wasn't ready for any type of serious commitments. I mean she was a very attractive 26-year-old with no kids you would think it would be easy for her to find a lover. That just wasn't the case. Most men just wanted to have sex with no strings attached. Not something Victoria was fond of. So, she just lived day-to-day week to week check to check without a care in the world.

That fateful day.

An alarm ringing could be heard deep off in a distance as Victoria swung her arm to try and stop the ringing. It was Monday morning and another work week has begun.

“God, I hate Mondays.” Victoria yelled as she got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom. She had been working as a secretary for a law firm in downtown Manhattan. Her boss was a complete jerk. Every time she wanted a day off, he made her work a double instead. Things got even worse if she was ever late which is why every morning was so stressful. The only good thing about her job was that she got paid enough to pay her bills and have some spending money on the side.

Living in New York city sometimes having a car is more trouble than it's worth. So, taking the subway Uber or lift ends up being cheaper than paying gas car note insurance etc.

Victoria rushed out of the shower and ordered her Uber. 10 minutes. She had 10 minutes to finish getting dress and be downstairs. Life in the big city.

Oddly enough today the Uber was late which rarely ever happens. Victoria nervously kept checking her phone to see how far her Uber was. Updated ETA 10 minutes. An angry Victoria reaches inside of her purse and pulls out a cigarette. At the same time, she fumbles in her suit jacket for a lighter.

“Time to calm my nerves.” She mumbled as she let her cancer stick and inhaled chemicals from God knows where.
Finally, a black Honda Accord pulls up with a frantic Uber driver yelling that he was sorry. Victoria calmly step inside of the car only to find that the car had no AC. She sighed as she shut her door and put on her seat belt. She felt something touch her hand as she went to click in the seat belt. She pushed her hand in between the cushion to pull out whatever was there. To her surprise she found a Samsung Galaxy phone. It looked new with a fancy protective case. She looked to see if her Uber driver had notice if she found the phone. He hadn’t. she quickly stuffed the phone in her purse and continued to stare into her own phone. A 20-minute drive now felt like it was a four-hour drive to the County jail. Maybe if the Uber driver was on time, she would give up the phone. Not today.

The Uber driver finally reach her job and Victoria rushed inside as if she were being chased by the police. Victoria was always the first person in her job. All the lawyers came in around nine 930. Victoria was lucky enough to have her own personal space even though her boss was an asshole. she quickly put The Galaxy phone to charge. A charging icon quickly flashed on the screen.

“Yes!” Victoria screamed quickly turning around to make sure nobody hurt her even though she knew she was alone. She giggled at her paranoia and powered up the phone. Now she hoped that the phone didn't have any type of password. I guess today really is her lucky day. No password.
She quickly browses through the phone and didn't really see anything of importance. Just a couple of pictures of the ceiling and a selfie of an older white man with glasses. Must be the owner of the phone. She thought as she kept looking through the phone.

He had an app called BCH. She knew that she had seen that symbol before but just couldn't remember. She clicked on the app and was still confused. All she saw was the number 300.

She quickly pulled out her phone and did a Google search on what BCH was. She dropped the phone as soon as she saw the search results.

One Bitcoin Cash equals $750. Is what the screen said. Wow I have $750 She thought still not understanding exactly what was going on. She opened the app once again and began to wonder what the number 300 meant. She did a search on YouTube to see if anybody knew what BCH was.

She found a video on the Bitcoin.com YouTube channel with a man named Roger Ver. After 5 minutes of watching the video she had a huge aha moment. I have 300 BCH not 1. Her heart began to race, and her palms were instantly clammy. 300 * 750 is $225000.

Instantly she remembered that Chris is where she knew this symbol from. She quickly dialed his number and called him. Finally, after calling five times in a row a groggy Chris answers the phone.

“Hello” Chris was not a morning person it was more of a stay up till 5:30 playing Xbox smoking weed claiming faucets kind of person.

“Do you know what BCH is?” Victoria asked hoping that at least he was good for something.

“Yeah that is Bitcoin cash. It is a cryptocurrency that forked off Bitcoin. Why do you ask?”

“Well I'm only asking because I just found a phone in an Uber that had no password and a Bitcoin cash wallet with 300 BCH” immediately Chris spit out the coffee he was trying to drink.

“Do you know how much 300 BCH is worth? I think you might be mistaken” Chris said with a sense of doubt in his voice.
Victoria quickly took a screenshot and sent it to Chris via text message.

“I just sent you a screenshot of the wallet do you believe me now. I want to make a deal with you. Help me figure out how to sell this And I will give you some money.” Victoria almost instantly regretted offering him this type of deal, but she really had no idea of how to cash out this crypto.

“Hell yeah I can help you sell those coins. It's not going to be easy selling it for cash right away, but we can figure out a way to get it done.” said Chris in a very excited voice.

“OK I'm going to leave work I will figure out what to tell my boss but there is no way that I can work knowing that I have almost $250,000 in crypto currency.” Victoria thought she probably would it be returning to this job anyway.

“You need to transfer those coins out of that wallet as soon as possible. The owner might still have access to the wallet, and he might transfer it out if he realizes he lost his phone. So, you need to download a BCH wallet on your phone and transfer the coins from the wallet with the 300 coins to your new wallet. That way only you will have access.” He said faster then she would ever be able to understand. Even though Chris was a flunky he did know his crypto.

“I don't think I can do any of those things that you just said. Up until 5 minutes ago I had no idea what crypto currency was, and you expect me to know how to transfer coins into a brand-new wallet? I am just going to come to your house right now do not go anywhere bye.” Victoria hung up and rushed out of the office. She quickly ran across the street an enter the McDonald's. She did not want any of her bosses to come in early and guilt her into staying for the day. She pulled out her phone and ordered an Uber to get to Chris's house.

As she waited for the Uber to arrive all she could do is stare at the phone containing the 300 BCH. she noticed that there was a folder right next to the BCH wallet icon. She clicked on it and notice a few more icons and her eyes immediately lit up when she recognized the first icon. It was the Bitcoin icon. She clicked on it and close her eyes as it loaded up when she opened her eyes her heart stopped beating. Suddenly she felt very lightheaded and notice the floor was coming directly at her face. Everything was happening in slow motion the only thing she could think of as she slipped into the darkness was 300 BTC.
