We came to see a football match but we were treated to an exhibition. What a brilliant display from Tottenham even though that was expected since they were playing against Marine. It would be an absolute shock if Marine got anything other than a defeat from this game.
Lucas Moura tried to register the intent of the host early on but he blazed over his effort. Not long after, Marine got a lifeline when Kengni darted forward, held off his challenger and ran the length of the field to unleash a long range effort that rattled the crossbar but the rebound was gathered by Joe Hart. It would have been a beauty of a goal if it has gone in. It was a huge let-off for Tottenham and a reminder to up their game and kill any hope of an upset.
Dele Alli was at the heart of it as he dribbled his way in and exchanged a brilliant one-two with Fernandes before giving Vinicius the easiest of tap-ins to register the first goal.
Vinicius wasn't done as Dele Alli was at the heart of it again by pulling the strings and calling the shots to make Vinicius register his second game on the night.
Lucas Moura made up for his earlier miss with a brilliant free-kick that found its way into the net, leaving the goalkeeper helpless. It was a quality freekick to make the scoreline 3-0.
Vinicius completed his hat-trick on the night with a brilliant left deft loop in the box which Dele Alli orchestrated again.
To round of the 5-0 rout, Devine scored his first senior goal on his first senior appearance. The joy on his face cannot be explained. What a moment for the youngsters.
Jose Mourinho has his sight set on the FA Cup too as he is already in the final of the Carabao Cup which he would be fighting for with Manchester City.
It was a master class performance from Jose Mourinho's men and they justified their inclusion in the team on the night.
