Even today I have to go to the apiary where my beloved bees are waiting for me. I have prepared the self-certification if the police will stop me, I will show it, I will move to look after the Bees, as a sheep farmer would do to graze the sheep. I confess that I am a little worried, this virus is invisible and sometimes, unfortunately, can be ruthless. But, as our partisans said, we must go. Travelling with my Opel astra are in evidence on the back seat the tools of the beekeeper: suit, visor, gloves, smoker and some looms necessary to split up some families and create new hives. For the beekeeper this and the month of preparation of the season: the health of the Bees is frequently checked, the mite of the varroa destructor is always lurking, the health of the Queen bee is checked, new positions are prepared. As I stand here to open the hives I see the bees intent on working, who looks after the Queen Bee, who is returning after having obtained the nectar who knows where and who is about to take flight. Then I think that this virus did not come by chance, that after this others will come because they are the result of the environmental damage that our actions are causing to our ecosystem. After this epidemic I hope that we will all understand that nothing will be as before, it will be necessary to treasure this terrible experience and put in place revolutionary actions to save the environment in which we live.
Certainly this history of the virus prevents movement with the necessary serenity.
I trust in a good season, the past was bad, that allows me to draw my breath and look with confidence at the possibility to expand the apiary with new families and produce quality honey.
I look at them and I think they know nothing about coronavirus, for thousands of years they have been working to ensure that we pollinate the plants we need and delight us with the taste of honey and yet, with our wicked action, We are killing them with the use of harmful products in agriculture and with the pollution of our cities.

stay safe. I hope you find the bees in good health and at least some temporary peace in their company. The news from Italy is not reassuring.

Bees are fine!
For the rest, the news from Italy is really bad, and even from Europe, bad management has led this virus to spread in a simple way

Yes and we are following the same curve here in the US. Things are actually likely much worse than anyone knows in the US as we are still lagging far behind all European countries in terms of tests conducted per unit of population. And we have an idiot for a president who up until just a few weeks ago was trying to say this was fake news, and huge sections of our population who are still believing that. Really sad to say but I think the US hospital system is going to be overwhelmed within the next week and we aren't even close to the peak of the epidemic here. Glad to hear the bees are fine though :) That is some good news, at least

Yep, in America you have a big problem with your president and how it poses towards the issues...
We hope he start turning on the brain to understand the seriousness of the situation, in america you are 365ml, we in italy only 65, and from the data you can realize what a problem it may be
