Solid the darkness and pale the moon
the light arrive long with the dawn.
The whitened teeth in the wolf's howl
and the growl from the forests deep.
With unknown length already moved
and uncertain the steps yet to take.
The ground shakes under the weight
of the stampede of unsettled feet.
Simple flowers looking toward sun
raised for nothing more than dream.
Lives trampled and countless lost
to promises never created tp keep.
Gave too much and took too little
to learn life lessons from graves.
Violent the world we delivered fast
and slowly we inflicted until sleep.
We took it back one piece at a time
with each moment returned we held.
