How the lock down has affected my life

The lock down has tremendously affected my life both positively and negatively,I was engulfed in my shelf of comfort, even though I had about the wide spread of the pandemic which first originated in China, the fact that it had not yet entered Africa did not affect or give me a serious scense of consciousness about it, but as time passed, the virus spread even more rampantly across the globe, ejecting terror and fright to humanity, because many people's lives were succumbing to this virus.
In 7th June 2020,the president of Uganda H.E Yoweri k Museveni ordered a second lock down ,I perfectly recollect,I was at school, yet to do my final semester two examinations, but because of the proclaimed lockdown, this was brought at a halt,I cannot proceed with my academics at the moment,
I for one,am a person that loves to socialize, meet new people, travel and explore,go out with friends and have fun, but because of cafew, the lock down robbed me of my liberty, liberty to socialize and live a normal life, the world feels so void with everything that has been going on, the agonizing feel of seeing people loose their loved ones is so heart wrenching .
In this season, one cannot afford to spend money in a willynilly manner because many people were laid off their jobs, the city that is known to be this busy,

was quite and empty, with nothing like a whirling sound of the vehicle, but only the chipping Melody of the birds in the empty streets.
Never the less,as an entrepreneur, I had to be strategic and take advantage of the dynamic environment,I thought to myself, so with the money I had saved up,I bought 6kgs of simsim and 10kgs of groundnuts, then processed and packaged them in containers, while maintaining the SOPs, I begun moving selling door to door with my mask on,my first sales yielded a profit of 120,000 shillings, this inspired me to continue with the business through out this tough season,it has been to extremely tough but "tough's my middle name!!",as it is said, every cloud has a silver lining,so does this season for me, because I didn't keep redundant at home, now I deliver peanut butter to supermarkets and retail shops around my neighborhood, even through this tough time,as I take precautions,I won't let the season define my entirety.Iam proud, lam youthful,Iam resourceful, Iam AFRICAN.
