THE DIARY GAME,WATER IS LIFE

Hello Steemians,
I woke up yesterday and Alas! No drop of water. I woke my husband up, he couldn’t believe his eyes.We both dressed up ready for a water hunt.The whole house was staring at us demanding for a cleanup . As the adage goes Empty tins make the loudest noise,the jerrycans could be heard rumbling on the verandah .
We went to one of the offices were we believed water was available. The Security guard on duty was kind enough to let us in .On opening the Kitchen tap,there was no drop.The only source was the bathroom water .We picked a pipe to help us access water,however our efforts were invain.A kettle came in handy as we used it to fetch water from the bathroom sink to fill the Jerrycans.
By the time we were done, the bathroom was too messed up that I had to leave it spotlessly clean.
Coming back home , our house manager dashed for the jerrycans,looking at the clock ,it was already past breakfast time. All the children wanted to see was food on the table. Elizabeth in particular kept making rounds in the Kitchen as she hoped for a brighter future in the saucepans.We had late Breakfast,late lunch and late supper. I washed a couple of few clothes during the course of day.Bathed the Kids and tacked them in bed
By the time I was done,my body was screaming with fatigue .I know the day was challenging but it was a bitter-sweet feeling

Well, I learnt the following

1)At times we may never appreciate the value of what we have until we are forced to go an extra mile to get it.

2)Water is indeed life.

1. Let us harvest as much water as we can to help us during times of scarcity.

So friends, that was how I spent my day yesterday.
