Camel in the neighborhood 🐪

I have always been fascinated by these animals they carry lots and lots of heavy luggage on them and yet they're able to move. Animals like donkeys horses and camels are beautifully extra ordinary.

Today, as my sister and I walked through the neighborhood to go to the market to buy a few groceries. We stumbled upon a gentleman called Ali who was walking his camel around our neighborhood. I quickly stopped him and asked if I could ride on his camel.

Ali was kind to agree. He told me the name of his Camel. Musa was his name. Ali commanded in kiswahili 'Musa, kini' which literary mean Musa down. So Musa did as he was requested to do and Ali took my hand and helped me sit on the animal. He also asked me to hold onto the metallic bar firmly as Musa stood onto his 4 legs.

As the camel was rising it felt like I was falling forward and at the same time, falling backwards and it felt like a long time before it got to its standing position. This was the first time to ride on an animal.
As it was moving one leg after the other, my body motion as 'wavey' but at the same time my heart was beating so fast. A few minutes later, I started enjoying myself on the camel. My sister was so afraid of riding on the camel, so she decided to take some pictures.

We later thanked him and excitedly got home.
I will definitely sleep with a smile on my face today.
