Hello friends, hope everyone is doing well. Today we finished the lockdown and his excellence Yoweri Museveni of the Republic of Uganda addressed the nation. Releasing some but unfortunately, we students we are still home.
Let's get to the contest, staying fit was one of the things I priotised since the first lockdown and I took time to such for tips as I put them in practice. Down here are some of my tips for staying fit,
First, getting enough sleep and rest. I used to sleep late yet I had to wake up early for prayers which made my body weak and sickly. But now especially in this lockdown, I told myself I have to get enough rest to achieve it, I decided to get in bed early and sleep like for seven hours. That has helped me a lot especially in repairing my body to get ready for another day.
Secondly, like Mr @yohan2on, I also take fasting as a serious activity 🙏. Since am a Muslim, am used to fasting and I have no problems in it. As also medical surveys say, fasting is important in someone's life, it has alot of benefits and these include; restricting food intake during day, can help prevent some diseases like heart diseases, breast cancer among others. Also it allows the body to remove toxins since we give our digestive system a rest😉. It also reduces depression and anxiety which is good for our bodies.
Thirdly, I do some simple exercises. I searched for simple exercises which I can do daily. And I chose the following,
_ jumping a rope. This has helped alot especially in refreshing my mind and body. I use a simple rope my little nephew made, actually I bought it from him😂

_ I also do planks to keep my stomach flat, and also prevent back pain.
These exercises have helped alot since I do crocheting which results into back pain, the arms are also affected a lot. So, I had to find a way of reducing them.
Lastly, I also learnt to be alone to allow myself think, stay calm for a moment, talk to myself, in other words, trying to meditate. Has helped me relax.
