How has the second lockdown affected my life @moureenbronia

This virus has been a total headache since it came. When the first lockdown came and went, we all started preparing to go back to our normal lives. Not the original normal per say, but the new normal as people came to call it. All seemed to be going well until the second lockdown came along just afew weeks back.

No doubt that this second lockdown has shaken up my world. IAM a second year finance student at makerere university business school (MUBS)... And as the president and the rest of his cabinet were preparing to send us back home for another "few days", which truth be told may be just more months, I was at campus preparing to sit my final exams that would be the conclusion of the first semester of my second year.

At the time when we were sent home, I was supposed to sit my exams in the following week. So the lockdown put a stop to that. Now IAM home not knowing when I will be doing my papers. The uncertainty doesn't help... I have to be online everyday so that I don't miss critical information about exams in case there is any. Honestly, it's very unsettling.

The rates of deaths alone are terrifying, not to mention the fact that this new straint targets the younger race like myself.
Now I walk on egg shells. To be excat, I don't move at all unless it's highly necessary. And now parents are even more strict than ever. The words, "DON'T GO OUT OF THE GATE" have become a song to my ears.

But we have been taught to always recognize both the good and bad in very situation. Yes the lockdown disrupted my exams but I cannot fail to appreciate the fact that maybe, just maybe, it was God's way of giving me more time to prepare so that I can get the best out of the exams when they do come.

I stay in hostel so when IAM at campus, I rarely go home unless there is an emergency or maybe when I need to pick up afew essentials. That being the case, I don't get a lot of family time when am at campus. Therefore, much as I hate that we have to be home because of this lockdown, am also thankful that I get time to be with my family.

Lets not forget that this lockdown despite having it's negative effects, it's main purpose is to keep us safe.
