As a normal Nigerian guy I am who has a lot of questions running through my mind. Looking at how our world has evolved and how it has been able to transform a lot of things. We are not where we are. Recently, it is looking like our world keeps developing at a very rapid rate. I can boldy say that there are a whole lot of things we are witnessing in our present world which was not available 10 Years ago and even though I am happy with the development of the science and technology advancements, I am still scares about what the future holds for our future.
I have always been a lover of Science Fiction since childhood and even till now. For some people, they always think science fiction is just imagination. Even though it is true but it is not always limited to that. I mean science fiction also involves what I will tag the storytelling. In Nigeria, sci-fi goes beyond the Nollywood movies that we always watch. Whether we like it or not, sci-fi goes a long way to determine how people think and interact with our world.
There is so much power in innovation and technology that we need to understand. We have witnessed a lot of inventions for the past many years in every aspect life. I mean every aspect of life. There are some mobile phones which we have right now which were not there before. We have the innovation of the artificial intelligence and many more. Take for example in the financial world, we now have the new mobile banking system rule that was not there before.
The innovation of science and technology in the aspect of science fiction also have brought another dimension of social interaction for us. Recently, we have stories that talk about artificial intelligence and generally the world of science which years ago was quite difficult to come across.
If you will ask me, I am a lover of sci-fi. I have seen people who their curiosity for the science world have actually increases and will continue to. We are having books and films that showcase the world of science and fiction. In fact we are having books and films that talked much more about space exploration which gives avenues for people who did not have the opportunity to explore the space yet have the experience about it.
If you will ask me, I am really optimistic about what the future holds ahead most especially in the sci-fi world. In years to come, it is certain that we will continue to witness more growth and development in the aspect of science and technology which will indirectly help the world of science fiction also.
