Although there are only five to ten species of venomous snakes in india and they cannot kill a healthy person, it is good to know how to react after a bite. I haven't experienced it personally, but I think I've read enough about it to be able to share it.

What we need to know is that, in general, snakes do not seek to attack humans unless they feel threatened. This is their instinct for self-preservation and he is stronger than them. I have read in some places that it is good for the places where it was bitten to be cut slightly with a knife and then the poison to be sucked out, but I have also read that this method has not been proven to work, so I advise you not to create bigger problems. of those that you have and do not make incisions in the bitten area .

In order not to be unsubstantiated, we should say that due to the crooked teeth of the snake it is not very sure exactly where it injected the venom, and even if we survive the exact place, it spreads so fast that this incision is unlikely to have any effect.

According to research, about 20% of snake bites are "dry", ie they do not contain venom, which means that if you make an incision, you will have a problem with wound healing, not a bite.

Do not put on a turnstile , as its action may be reversed. It will keep the venom at the site of the bite and slow down the blood supply to the fresh blood, which will enhance the action of the venom itself and make it more dangerous, with the bite site being much more severely affected.

Do not put ice , cooling the place will only reduce the body's ability to fight the poison through its natural antibodies and heat. It is best to go to the nearest medical center or rescue service to help you with an antidote or to transport you to the nearest hospital.

Do not try to suck out the poison , as this may further contaminate the victim's wound.

How to prevent snake bites:

• wear high and hard shoes covering the ankles;

• watch where you step or where you hold hands, over 80% of bites are precisely due to carelessness;

• Do not hang snakes that you meet on the road - they are fast and can bite you, as they will feel threatened.
