You're completely right about it Chesatochi and thank you for mentioning a significant note. However, this method will be along with mass unfollow afterward. The other thing is that it's used for business accounts that they do not care about their feed actually.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
