hat Beef, one meat a lot of us can't do without. I love to have beaf everytime i want to have a meal, but a lot of us do not know that Beef add up to global climate change and is the major cause of green house gases when it comes to food production. Plants and vegetables aren't really a major caue of greenhouse gasses, they emit the least of it, poultry are responsible for greenhouse gas emission but the level is still very low compared to beef.
We all know that when it comes to processing, distribution and packaging of beef, the greenhouse gas emitted isn't much as this animals do not require processes that allows for emission of gasses but when you start to check the living of Beef, then you would understand that they are responsible for emissions of greenhouse gasses.
The feeding process of Cows and Bulls is completely different as they can eat though plants an then food are fermented with the process known as enteric fermentation which produces methane which is a greenhouse gas. The methane is released from the anus, and the mouth.
Asides carbon, methane is next biggest greenhouse gas and this greenhouse gasses are making our climate change and affecting our planet. Greenhouse gasses allow the earth to warm (global warming) changing the climate. In 2020, there was really no much rain in the environment and it affected the plants and caused draught in several part of my country and this is a result of greenhouse gasses causing a change in climate.
Do you think that we should start doing with plant based meat or we should keep rearing cattles while they add up to the world's global warming?

Greetings @ajewa
Certainly methane gas, which is released in livestock production units, has contributed significantly to climate change. In relation to your question, from my perspective, it is necessary to balance beef consumption, to stop consuming beef is something unthinkable, therefore, if we manage to create a balance between beef consumption and vegetable consumption, we will be contributing in the decrease of methane gas release to the environment. Thank you for this thoughtful publication.
