Technology has come to stay: Simple Robotic Appliances for Household Chores.

in hive-175254 •  5 years ago

House chores can be really annoying to perform sometimes and I am sure that quite a good number of people find it difficult to raise a finger after the day's work.
Weekends should be for relaxation but that is the time when we also have to clean up and do everything that our busy schedule could not permit us to do during the week.
Even those who work from home are not left out of the laziness to perform household chores, but through all the stress, we can now smile because technology once again has come through for us.

There are various technological instruments that makes household chores an easy task to perform but this time around there are even robots that carry out the assigned task while you do not have to lift a finger ( that sounds interesting right?), so read through as I tell you more about this fascinating helpers.

I will be making use of pictures in this post as this will help in giving a detailed explanation about the topic discussed.

(1) Ever heard about autonomous lawnmower?
Just like the name implies it is used for gardening, the autonomous lawnmower consists of blades with several sensors which makes it extremely easy for them to access certain areas.
Some autonomous lawnmowers only have the the capacity to cover little areas but there are others who have the capacity to cover large areas, depending on the task you want to use it for.

One interesting ability of this lawnmower is that, it has the ability to deactivate it's blades whenever there is a collision.

(2). Smart (Robot) Vacuum: This machine makes it possible to clean your home properly without even lifting a finger, it will leave your home more clean than you even think.

(3). There is also a laundry folding robot, although it was discovered that this item is not really in circulation as a result of the high price placed on it, it has the ability to food your cloth into a desired shape.

(4). This fourth machine seem interesting to me, it is called a robotic gutter cleaner, you do not have to manually control this machine as you can remotely control it from your sitting position (isn't that just exciting).

(5). We also have a smart iron robot (I think I need this right now...), although this smart iron robot is still under development as it's release date has not been set yet it is said that it has the ability to properly iron your cloth and you do not have to touch it.

(6) We also have a robotic window cleaner on our list guys(can you imagine?), you have a robot that can get out all those hard stains as well as easy stains on your window.
These robots come in different sizes, some are for large and tall buildings like sky scrapers, while others are for normal homes.

(7). There is also a robot for toilet cleaning it is generally called a toilet cleaning robot which has the ability to effectively wash a toilet and keep it sparkling neat.

Although, just like the smart iron, it is not in circulation yet.
With the presence of household robotic appliances, you realize that you no longer have to stress yourself when it comes to household chores, technology has done it again and we can only smile, purchase and get them to carry out those annoying tasks.

Series "X-files", Season 11, Episode 7 - it is about dangers of robotization and automation. I liked it very much.

Oh alright, thanks for sharing, I will like to check it out as well.

Thanks for the badge steemitboard.

I'm not sure that these would be described as simple - perhaps to use, but not to build! You might also want to use the STEM tag for this kind of topic.
I have a Roomba but it's not perfect. It sometimes gets stuck under furniture and doesn't always make it back to its charging port before its battery runs down. And it has a very small bin. But it does pick up well where it does cover! Perhaps the newer ones work better...
I'd love to have the lawnmower if it wasn't so pricy!

Of course the making process of such things requires time and effort and thanks for sharing about your Roomba (it must be very annoying whenever it gets stuck under the furniture).

I really never knew that some of these machines displayed here exist. Thanks for bringing them to our attention. Cheers!

I also got to know about them after some online research, I am happy it was useful.

You have reminded me, I think it was about 30 years ago that I first heard the term Domotics, referring to computer science and computer technology applied to the control and management of a house.

It was a very interesting topic at the time and today I see that we are getting a little closer to what was dreamed of as something possible in this current future.

Wow, I think technology is about to make us get extremely lazy, I love it. Thanks for sharing

This an amazing write up, i was having a chat with a friend some days back and i told him soon we will have robots everywhere including the doing everything needed including at home, and probably in religious places

Technology has advanced to amazing levels. I find it fascinating the robot that folds clothes and the robot vacuum cleaner, I think they are a great relief for our lives. But I worry that by damaging these machines we are already useless unable to do these tasks because we forget how to do those jobs.

Some really good stuff here. I knew the robot era was soon approaching when drone package delivery got licensed. From an aviation perspective oh, this is quite the big deal. Regulating the sky above residential neighborhoods is lot more complicated than the media pays attention to.
