The race of getting to Mars has become one for this present decade, there are so many companies trying to get into space as soon as possible, Elon has stated that humans will be able to live in space by 2024, other companies are working hard to beat records but China seem to be closer than any other county or scientific organisation because by July 2020 China wants to get humans to Mars.

Impact of Covid-19 on Space Movement.

The initial announcement came before the great strike of covid-19 that has kept a lot of businesses down and has also restricted traveling, will China still be able to make that great move by the July 2020?
Even if the virus started spreading from China, China authorities have been able to continue work but with certain restrictions and protective measures in space, this means that the work on the space mission was still ongoing even during the serious lockdown and the country seem to have everything put in place for the success of the mission. The idea of social distancing and wearing of mask which was just adopted by some countries recently, have been a preventive measure put in place by China for a long time and it is making their economy return to normal gradually and with this, the satellite centre is being prepared for launch. China does not just plan on a single launch but before the end of 2020, they planned to have launched 40 times and if this happens, it is certainly going to be a great height for the country.

There are different space stations in China and one of them that has planned to launch its Kuaizhou rocket four or five times before the first half of the year comes to an end is Exspace, who has unfortunately been hit by the spread of covid-19 and has been on lockdown for the past two months.

The reason why China has made it a secret mission.

The Unites space has launched missions to Mars in order to get the presence of life, but China hopes to beat the records by being the first nation to discover the presence of life on Mars, China hopes to land on a new portion of Mars that no one else has landed on since the beginning of the research to find life on Mars, and with this movement it might be possible to discover life on Mars.

The United States is also planning on launching a rocket into space by July 2020 which is the same time China wants to also launch, China has made the news about the launch as secretive as possible without much information coming from the government.

I really fear for our dear planet, if different countries and space companies keep releasing rockets to Mars at the same time, the after effect might not be pretty good but rather than turning this into a race of conflict, what if these countries come together and look for a way to work together, I really don’t know if that will be possible but I just hope we are safe with this space race.
