Some gnostics believe that knowledge is the main element that gives us a higher level of existence, others think that it is the soul or the spirit that has to be developed, but all the gnostics agree on the fact that it is impossible for man to live without having knowledge, it is the basic element

In one way or another certainly gnoseology is not only related to gnosticism but also to any branch of philosophy that considers knowledge as something primordial and of essence for the human being.
