1994 and Amazon was to so many one of the most ridiculous business to get involved in as the internet was really not known yet. people believed in going to bookstores to buy books and libraries to borrow books for a while. As novel as Amazon was, it has become a tech giant with strong hold in the tech world.
Jeff Bezos started the company in his garage with borrowed money and today, the company is a large corporation with subsidiaries which deals with robotics, delivery, ecommerce, space exploration, web hosting service and many more.
Jeff in his period as CEO of the company has moved it to greater heights although the company has come under a lot of criticism over worker's treatment, stealing of data, firing of employees unjustly and not protecting workers who were working during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Amazon's share price and power over the industry has been criticized and has been under scrutiny from people for years now but this hasn't disturbed the growth of the company's share price. This year, Amazon's CEO announces that he will be retiring from his duty as CEO of Amazon and Andy Jassy will become the new CEO of Amazon while he takes the seat as Chair.
This is shocking to some people and it looks like a calculated game to another set of people. Do you think Jeff's stepping down is a calculated plan or he did that because he was getting old and needed to retire.
I am just getting to know about this information right now I am glad I found the topic, the man might realize that he is getting old and aged and he needs to watch the company being handled by someone else.

hi dear @busted1
I think he did it, to be able to enjoy more of his time and money, the truth is I really admire this man, I know that he just got divorced, so it is logical to think that he wants to focus on himself.
greetings
