Greetings to all my dear readers and followers of this platform and especially to every user who is part of @projecthope, this time my topic or edge that I will be addressing is related to a mistake made by one of the most important cryptocurrency platforms at this time, it is crypto.com which transferred to a user the amount of 10 million dollars by mistake and is now in the process of lawsuit against this user.
It all started in May 2021 when the crypto.com platform transferred the amount of 10 million dollars instead of 100 dollars to a user of Australian nationality named Thevamanogari Gangadory, and it was not until seven months later that after a routine audit performed by this platform was that they learned of the mistake they had made. Once crypto.com found out about the error, they proceeded to inform the user to return the money, but to date she has not returned a single dollar.
At the beginning of 2022 Crypto.com in view of the fact that Gangadory did not return the money decided to file a lawsuit before the supreme court of Australia against this user in order to recover the amount of money that had been transferred by mistake. Once Gangadory found out that she had the money, she bought a luxurious house in a suburb of Melbourne, Australia for a cost of 1.5 million dollars and put it in the name of her sister Thilagavathy Gangadory, and also made a transfer for an amount of 430 thousand dollars to her daughter Raveena Vijian. That is why the lawsuit filed by the Crypto.com platform extends to all the people who have been involved with the use of this money.

The court asks Thevamanogari Gangadory to sell the house she bought and return the money to Crypto.com and also an additional 20% of the amount for interest and costs of the lawsuit, so far the defendant has not responded to any of the notices that Crypto.com has issued, if there is no response the lawsuit will be admitted and in the coming months this user could go to jail. This is not the first time that a cryptocurrency platform makes this mistake, that is why they perform constant audits to verify that everything is in order and that the processes are being carried out as stipulated.
From my point of view as a user I think that Thevamanogari Gangadory was carried away by passions when he saw that amount of money in his wallet and decided to spend the money, but this mistake could cost him his freedom and that of his family. I believe that if this type of inconvenience happens to us, the healthiest thing to do is to return the money and thus avoid legal problems that could jeopardize the peace of mind we have. Because ill-gotten money or money of easy origin always brings problems.

My question is:
If everything happens the other way around, will crypto.com return the money to some user who sent them by mistake?
I don't think so, what happens is that they are more powerful and can make anyone pay for their mistake, and of course the money is theirs, the most logical thing is that they return it, but I think that if it happens the other way around they don't return anything.

Greetings friend, I understand your opinion but I don't share it because if it had been the opposite what happened, the pertinent claims are made and I don't believe that a company like crypto.com wants to gain disrepute.
