With the advancement of artificial intelligence, we could be entering a new era of accountability

The importance that today's society can enter a new era of responsibility is because at present we are noticing very rapid advances in artificial intelligence, so that although many do not notice it in the present, we may gradually feel its impact in the near future.

When we talk about impact is because at some point we will notice that our lives will never be the same again, the entry of artificial intelligence is a journey of no return, in which our lives will change sooner or later and many of us will not be able to make similar changes.

Many times we watch videos on Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok or any social network and we notice that these social networks always recommend us some kind of particular content, it is because of artificial intelligence that much of that content is linked to our tastes and preferences, these algorithms allow us to always see what we like, this example is small compared to the changes that will come and those that we will notice that will change our lives.

But with all these little things we are already noticing at present about the evolution of artificial intelligence and the change in our lifestyle, I think the following question is worth asking:

How can we ensure that artificial intelligence in its development uses its advances ethically and responsibly?

Surely the programmers will work on it, but it is we ourselves as consumers who can dictate the guidelines for such assurance, because if society as a whole notices a considerable deviation in ethical aspects that harm the lifestyle and integrity of people, then it is an artificial intelligence that should not be consumed, however it may be the case that it is consumed regardless of the negative ethical impact that this may have.

These and many other questions invite us as a society to reflect on the existing need for the ethics of artificial intelligence to be present in all future advances and to continue emphasizing the responsibility that we must all have in the generation of an environment whose future is viable and sustainable in the hands of the development of artificial intelligence.
