The importance of Intellectual Capital in educational environments.

Intellectual capital is a determining and fundamental element in the development of assigned activities because each job has and deserves defined characteristics.

Each position has a defined function and such occupation requires a previous aptitude or knowledge for the best performance of the position. Therefore, this situation applies to each type of employment; in the university teaching, administrative and laborer areas.

Now, the order presented in the previous paragraph does not hierarchize the type of employment, since each one is important in the development of the educational process. The teacher's mission is to teach, to facilitate knowledge or to transmit the state of the art in the area in which he/she works.

But, equally important are the administrative personnel who are in charge of executing the bureaucratic processes that allow citizens to enroll, continue and complete their studies.

Last but not least, there is the group of workers, whose mission is to make and maintain the study environments in the best possible conditions of hygiene, comfort and functionality for the optimal development of the educational process.

Each and every one of them are in the educational environment and their functions are determinant for the effective development of the process, because if some of them fail, the best functioning and effective teaching-learning process is hindered, since each one of them is important in it.

Therefore, the intellectual factor of each of the human elements that are part of the educational process is transcendental and important and their skills and potential make it easier or more difficult to fulfill their assigned tasks and these same capabilities will allow them to give a plus for improvement initiatives and changes in favor of their work.
