When you are told that being broke is only a mindset and opportunities are always opened to become a millionaire within few days, and wealth is just in the next door. When you are told that a box of kit can change your life and give you the entire freedom you want but at the same time the kit is the beginning of a million dollar business opportunity. You might then be told that companies like Mary Kay, Amway, Nu Skin, ACN, Beach Body, Herbalife Nutrition, Forever Living, Arbonne, Young Living, YounLove and so on, are giving this opportunities to people and you should not miss out of it from their company since you missed out of previously paying ones, then be rest assured it is a Multi-Level Marketing.
When you do your research, you find out that these companies are worth billions and you think of it as a business that could also make you a few million bucks or less a hundreds of thousands. The companies have good financial records and it is no doubt that they are doing good. Then you are told to only sell products and become a millionaire, (yummy, what a tasty looking opportunity).
'The company always changes life' as they say. This companies are said to have made millionaires, create financial freedom and so on, then you ask what service the company provides and you are told it is a company that sells supplement, soaps, skin care, make up companies, and so on and these products are only sold by their distributors and this is where the money comes it. If you join you will be among the few people who can sell this product and earn commission on each sales.
When you join, you are not automatically a millionaire, you need to put in money to get money (what the MLM coach will tell you), so you buy a membership position or buy a starter kit. This doesn't end there as you are told to buy more products as this is referred to as investing and you will be so positive minded to buy the product not worrying about where to sell them.
After purchasing the starter kit, you then look to climbing the tier ladder as there are a lot of ladders to climb and the higher the ranks, the more you get more benefits. The inviter tells you to always talk about the product in all you do so you can make good sales, your social media handle, family meeting and so on. The conviction is there that you would be a millionaire but then the goods are a bit expensive but before you complain, you are invited for another lecture/seminar with greater testimonies and then you say, "who care if it is expensive, i must get my share of the pie".
After buying the product, you are then told that the easiest way to make money very fast is to start recruiting. You have to start bringing people into the business and when they make a purchase from the company, you get a commission. Then you are told that the more downlines you have or the more downlines your downlines have, the more commissions you get. So you have to recruit a lot of people so you do not have to do anything.
The recruiting makes the sales a little difficult or should I say the other way round is what happens? At the end of it, you realize that you just got into a vehicle you didn't understand its destination.
If you did not know, you just joined a MLM company and it is also a pyramid scheme. Virtually, most MLM companies target youths and stay home mums, or people who are financially crippled, and vulnerable people who wants a better life but eventually realize that they are buying an expensive product from a company who doesn't spend money on marketing but rather uses people to sell their products to inorganic customers because the distributors have to buy the goods from the companies and then get a downline who they sell this products to if they are lucky and when they do not get a downline, the goods end up staying in their homes and the become disappointed.
This is really very common and recently my Dad just fell into a typical MLM scam his friend introduced to him, although the programme is still running and a lot of people are getting registered but I know that really soon, the entire truth about the scheme will get exposed.

Regards, it is very interesting how many companies are maturing their position in the market, risking new opportunities to have a better profit without ceasing to be.

And the bad part is that a lot of people continue to fall into the trap all day.

Any profit rate on investment that appears too good to be true needs to be greatly avoided.
