The best way to ask for a raise...don't ask at all.

”Your advices may be helpful, but not if one is working online and all his collegues do that too. Wouldn't you agree?”

That's a good question Piotr. Let me think this through.

Say Steemit really takes off , and STEEM's value goes 10x from here, the rewards would be much more promising, approaching livable wages for some.

In this case:

  • Income equals Rewards.
  • Raise equals increased Rewards

I'm going to make a few assumptions:

  • People spend time with like-minded people; hence, read their posts.
  • People reward like-minded people.
  • Some caveats: Time, personal lives, etc...may impact time on Steemit.

Be nice to everyone.

Complimenting and rewarding people for their posts creates commonality and agreement with the person you're rewarding; hence they are both more *like-minded". Just like if you were doing it in person.

Offer to help others.

Posting a tutorial on a common problem or a specific problem to someone, creates a sense of reciprocity in the other person receiving the help. And that reciprocity can be expressed in Rewards.

Learn new things.

Augmenting your usefulness on Steemit by staying informed on current issues that apply to people so you can better address people’s needs creates a positive feedback loop. The more you know, the more you help, the more you get rewarded.

So I would say that whether in person or online, in an organization or self-employed, these three actions can help stimulate a raise.

I love thought experiments. Thank you Piotr for posing this great question!
