New philosophy, which has emerged in more recent times, presents itself as a fresh and renewed approach to ancient philosophy. While ancient philosophy was based on the ideas of the great classical thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle and Socrates, the new philosophy seeks to break with these established paradigms and explore new ways of thinking and approaching philosophical problems.

One of the main differences between new and old philosophy lies in their goals and methods. While the old philosophy focused on the search for truth through reflection and rational analysis, the new philosophy focuses more on personal experience and subjectivity. More importance is given to introspection and the exploration of emotions and feelings as a source of knowledge.

In addition, the new philosophy tends to be more inclusive and diverse in its approaches, embracing a wide range of perspectives and points of view. Whereas the old philosophy tended to be more dogmatic and closed in its approaches, the new philosophy promotes plurality of ideas and openness to philosophical diversity.

Another characteristic of the new philosophy is its focus on practical relevance and impact on everyday life. Whereas the old philosophy tended to be more abstract and theoretical, the new philosophy seeks to apply its ideas and reflections to real life, providing tools to face the challenges and dilemmas that arise in human existence.

In this sense, the new philosophy is presented as a philosophy more committed to the concrete reality and current problems of society. It seeks to address issues such as justice, equality, freedom and ethics from a perspective that is closer and more relevant to people in their daily lives.

However, despite their differences, the new and ancient philosophies share several points in common. Both seek to answer fundamental questions about the meaning of life, the nature of knowledge and morality. Both seek to understand the world and our existence in it, although they do so from different approaches and perspectives.

Ultimately, the difference between new and old philosophy lies in their approach and methodology, as well as in their main objectives and concerns. While the old philosophy focuses on rationality and the search for objective truth, the new philosophy focuses on experience and subjectivity, as well as on the practical and social relevance of its reflections.

In short, the new philosophy represents a fresh and dynamic proposal that seeks to break with traditional conceptions and explore new ways of approaching philosophical problems. Through its focus on experience, diversity and relevance, the new philosophy seeks to connect with the concerns and worries of people today, offering new perspectives and tools to understand and face the challenges of modern life.
