Neuralink, the Technological Synergy between Humans and Machines

Bandwidth as Elon said, has been the major reason for the difference in time between when the brain processes something and when the part of the body takes action on that particular thing, that is why the brain processes and repeats something over five times before the hand completely writes it, also the ability for the brain to transmit electrons to the part of the body is what is needed for certain activities to take place like walking, moving of limbs and so on. The ability for the message to be transferred to the part that needs it is what causes paralysis and Neuralink is here to help.

The name Elon Musk has been at the front of virtually all TV screens recently, thanks to Tesla being the most valuable car company as well as SpaceX sending astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) and now Neuralink. In this post I will be looking at Neuralink, what it has to offer and many more.

Neuralink is a neurotechnology company with the aim of helping humans and machine work in synergy thereby allowing technology to read the brain neural information in real time. This is possible with the help of the Link, a small chip which composes of electrode wires which picks up the signals emitted by the brain easily and helps transmit them to other part of the body faster as well as it will be able to help humans and other external machines communicate better like operating phones, computers, and other machines with your brain.

The major aim of the tech is to make sure humans can overcome a whole lot of ailment in the future such as autism, paralysis, blindness, anxiety, insomnia, memory loss, depression, strokes, seizures, and many more, with other functionalities like communicating with the brain and not part of the body also making the humans communicate with just thought. In other words, the aim of this tech is to make humans and machine run at the same speed since the human brain is fast, it is possible that with Neuralink, it could be faster than machines.

The team behind Neuralink hopes to keep the keep the brain and its environment safe when implanting the link and that is it implant is going to be automated thereby making the surgery painless and fast. Although there are several controversies around this, but it has gotten certain level of approvals from the FDA.

There will be bad things about the tech and one of it is hacking, the ability for machines and other humans to access the brain by hacking through information of the brain and using it for unwanted activities. Security can be a big problem, also will there be other legal issues, political issues and issues on privacy and who owns the data being collected by this link. These problems needs to be solved so this technology can become a thing for everyone to accept and use.

This will be interesting to watch in action!

Practicalizing neuralink will be a great idea and it is going to help those with disability a lot, implementing this finally will indeed go a long way.
