Poloniex has been cryptocurrency's royalty exchange for about a decade now. Founded in 2014 and registered in the Seychelles, the cryptocurrency exchange has been in the trading of digital assets since the early days of cryptocurrency. Poloniex having over 100 coins and tokens listed on its exchange has given me access to trade my coins easily as well as enjoy other trading functions such as the recent president pair trading where you can trade TRUMPWIN/USDT and TRUMPLOSE/USDT.
How did you first come to know about Poloniex
In my journey trying to understand cryptocurrency, I got to find steemit, [the Facebook killer] in 2016. At this point, the only exchanges I knew were Kraken and Coinbase but while I was making research on how to trade my Steem coins for other coins and then I found Poloniex, so I signed up to the legendary crypto asset exchange.
In this first part of my post, i will be writing on Poloniex Sign up process, as this will help new users as they join
Signing up to Poloniex
Just like every other exchanges and platforms, in other to access the features of this amazing exchange, you need to sign up. To sign up, you need to visit the Poloniex website, then head to the sign up page. The sign up page is user friendly and understandable, so getting on train will not be difficult. First, you need a valid Email, as well as input your password. This password would be inputted twice, you can input a referral code if you have one, after which you verify that you are a human by clicking the verification button, then you agree to the terms of service and policies (a lot of people do not often read this while signing up but it is good that you go through them when signing up to any platform), then you click the signup button.
Clicking the signup button takes you to another page where you are told you have been sent an mail to your email address.
The mail would include a link to verify Email address, once this is done, you would be immediately directed to log in to the Poloniex. After login, you should be directed to the exchange page but for your security, that should not be the end. Passwords alone isn't a good security for platforms regarding finance. At this point is where Two Factor Authenticator (2FA) comes in.
In other to increase security, I always advice people to have a two factor authenticator and Poloniex being security conscious give users the ability to add extra security with 2FA.
After doing this, you have successfully completed Level 1 verification and it is up to increase limit and enjoy advance features on Poloniex exchange.
Level 2 verification
With level 1 verification, users can deposit into their wallets and make withdrawal up to $50,000 daily, also users can purchase with card, enjoy lending features and trade futures with 10x leverage but this is not all you can enjoy with Poloniex, and in other to enjoy other features in Poloniex like trading Futures with 100x leverage, trade Margin, increase in withdrawal limit and many more, upgrading to level 2 is vital.
To get started with the Level 2 verification, users are expected to provide details about themselves as well as provide details about their address. After which you will be asked to verify your identity with a government valid identity card or any other valid means of identification depending on the country.
My Sign Up Experience
It is impressive to see how fast the sign up process on Poloniex is, unlike other exchanges which would take time to send emails, the emails sent from Poloniex was very fast. The user interface is friendly, the process of sign up is easy and straightforward. If you don't have an account on Poloniex, then you should get one.
To be continued...
Thanks for taking time to read through my post, I will appreciate your comments and will like to see you sign up to Poloniex if you haven't. It is simple, just follow the steps in the post.

Hello @gbenga
Currently most exchange houses have a similar registration model.
It also happened to me that I had to go to the second level, because I was going to make a retreat and I didn't know about it.
How I usually use it is Binance. But poloniex is really very comfortable and friendly.

The comfortability of Poloniex is unique, having a UI that is accessible by anyone without formal teaching on how to surf the site.

Hi @gbenga
I just started using Poloniex recently and found it easy to learn and use. It has Steem, Hive and both Bitcoin and Ethereum, so it provides most of my needs. I like the no KYC and the low fees. So far it’s a winner.

Actually, it does has KYC but the difference is that you can deposit, trade, and withdraw without KYC, only that the amount that can be done is very little and features such margin trade and so on will not be available. So do not mistake the fact that you can do transactions without KYC for the fact that there is no KYC needed on POLONIEX.

Multi-layer security is always important regardless of how much crypto you have in the wallet. This should become a ritual for all crypto users.
Level 1 is super easy, just needs an email address, not even the name or phone number.
Thank you.

level one is quite easy as it only requires email and password, but as a usual ritual for security purposes, it is advisable to secure the account with 2FA . It is good having you on my blog @sapwood
