There's definitely no doubt we all are gifted or talented in one way or the other and this is definitely why the word talent can be termed "Natural Gift". We all posses different form of talent or gift and this explains the reason why some people achieve their goals easily without stress while some people pursuing the same goal find it very difficult to achieve such goals. This is actually possible because of the talent or gift attributed to such person unlike an untalented person who find it difficult accomplishing similar goals while some even end up quitting. This is why it's sometimes difficult to defeat a gifted or talented person in their field because they posses natural energy to make their dreams come true.

On the other hand, hardwork connotes a great deal of endurance or effort with the sole intention of achieving one's goal. There's definitely no doubt that some people fall under this category due to the fact that they want to achieve their goals and get the best or better results. When people see someone who is hard working achieving his or her goals, they tend to think such person is talented or gifted in such field not knowing that his or her effort and endurance (hardwork) paved the way for such individual.

Talent Also Dies Sometimes

Imagine a scenario whereby you are given an orange tree as a gift. The tree contains lot of delicious oranges which you were meant to drink from and sell for profit. Unfortunately, you didn't utilize or make use of the tree by drinking it's oranges and selling the Oranges neither did you take good care of the plantation since you never used it. You will definitely notice that the Oranges will keep falling down the tree and it will keep getting spoilt or rotten since you never made it valuable for yourself nor for the people around you.

The same scenario i explained previously also applies to talent. Being talented is just like having beautiful flowers in your garden which you nurture the same way you are expected to nurture your talents because if care isn't taking you can definitely loose them even though it may take lesser time for you to regain your gifts or talents back. You end up getting defeated by untalented people since you never utilized your talents. I guess this is the reason behind a statement made by a basket coach Tim Notke who once stated that "hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard."

Combining talent and hardwork together will definitely help you achieve greater desirable results you can ever imagine. Being hard working alone can make you win over a talented person who doesn't use his or talents. This is why I do encourage people to be hardworking and always ensure you make use of your talents without abandoning it to waste.

A Lesson From My Personal Experience

You are definitely blessed if you have two things. The first is *discovering and recognising your talent while the second is utilizing or making use of your talent. The honest truth is that I'm still yet to find out my personal gift or talents. I once made a publication about this here and I was also able to explain the required steps to help you discover your talent.

I noticed that i became so obsessed in the digital (tech) space such that I began to learn and at the same time develop my digital skills. Putting my digital skills into practice has actually been a great achievement for me due to the fact i always feel like I'm growing. I do get lot of complement messages from some of my followers about my contents and blog designs, most of them do think I was actually born to be a blogger but the truth is that I actually love being creative and I love doing my things in a unique way more different than others. I think being creative could actually be my talent but at the same time I don't joke with hard work and consistency because these two things keep me going.

In summary and conclusion, no matter how talented you are, always ensure you put your talent into practice by being hard working. The more hard working and talented you are, the higher your chances of achieving your goals and the more successful you become. Hardwork and talent both work hand in hand simply because a talented person can't do without being hardworking while a consistent hard working person can later be called a talented person.
