Well is too difficult to tell you everything about this book in a simple blog but I will try my best level to convey a message from the Authors of the IKIGAI to the readers in some simple steps. Just a few months back, I have completed reading the IKIGAI — The Japanese Secret to a Long Happy Life.
IKIGAI means The Reason that gets you off the bed every Morning
I think the book has got everything that is needed to live a long and healthy life. I would recommend the readers who are health-conscious and for the one who is not health-conscious now but are willing to change their life - MUST READ BOOK
SECTION 2 THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM IT
There are numerous important points this book has. Following them would make you live a long and healthy life. I have found certain points. Read it and apply it to your life to get the best result.
- Fill your belly to 80 % only.
- Begin exercising your brain by doing a certain task for the first time
- Don't even think about retirement, Plan to do the work that fascinates you until your death.
- Get the right amount of sleep, 7-9 hours.
- Replace your junk food with fruits.
- Have a plenty amount of water in a day (2 - 3 litres)
- Just go on a walk for at least 20 minutes, a lot of sitting will age you.
- Meditate every day to get rid of any kind of stress.
- Play with children or pets, or join a sports team.
- Soaking up a moderate amount of sun each day.
- Form a close bond within local communities, make friends.
- Achieve flow - no distraction, stay focused
- Always staying busy, but doing one thing at a time, without getting overwhelmed.
- Focus on the present and enjoy each moment that life brings us.
- Wabi-sabi - appreciate the beauty of imperfection as an opportunity for growth.
- Life is not a problem to be solved. Remember to have something that keeps you busy doing what you love while being surrounded by the people who love you.
