Today I am going to write on cloud computing, so first of all, let’s see what cloud computing actually is. “Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of computing services such as servers, storage, databases, networking, software, and analytics.”
It was a short definition of cloud computing that would give you some basic idea of cloud computing. And now let’s break it down in details. There are some companies, like Amazon, Microsoft, or Google, that give us computer resources on demand. For example, if some users need to store their data in a place where it remains safe, instead of buying any physical storage device, they will buy cloud storage that will be available online with some dues, and after online payment on the relevant website, they will allow them to store their data.
In this way, his data is protected from damage and is available everywhere in the world where he wants to access it. These companies also give us other computing resources, like computational power. If you have to perform some complex task and your personal computer processing power is not enough to process and deal with this task in this way, instead of upgrading your personal system or buying a new one, you will buy online computer resources that will help you perform your action or execute your task.
And one more important part is that it also hosts our websites. There are millions of websites being run on the internet; they are all running on cloud storage because if they run on personal systems, they can be affected in different ways, like electricity failure, system damage, or theft. So, they are hosted on virtual machines; that’s why they always remain online and never get closed.
There are many other services that are being offered by cloud computing. I hope this blog will help you understand the basics of cloud computing.
